Bansko
Bansko is situated in the Pirin Mountains at an altitude of 927 m. it is 150 km from the City of Sofia, 145 km from Plovdiv and 56 km from Blagoevgrad.
Besides being a ski resort Bansko is a historical town in which every house has its own history. Charm and comfort reign everywhere. You will be welcomed with tasty meals of local cuisine, Bulgarian wine and folk music.
Bansko is famous for its longest ski season (December – May). Marked 75 km long tracks are at your disposal, all of which are of different extent of difficulty, from beginners to proficiency ones. Bansko has got a snowboard park, slalom tracks and gigantic slalom tracks, a track for cross-country. Cabin lift lines, six chair lifts, six four-seat lifts, a three-seat lift, 6 ski climbing lifts and 10 children ski climbing lifts.
The marvelous conditions for ski tourism combined with architecture and tasty Bansko dishes attract more and more tourists towards the largest winter resort in Bulgaria.
